"In 2005 I spent three months hiking on the Appalachian Trail, carrying a backpack through 1,000 miles of mountain wilderness. By the time I finished I had developed various chronic aches and pains, which I assumed would all go away once I stopped hiking ten hours every day. Three years later, however, I still had pain in my shoulders and neck that refused to go away and had stopped improving long ago. Because of this, I had not been able to run, which had once been a passion of mine for years. I could not carry a back pack without pain, sit at a desk for an extended period, or ride a bicycle. I had been to various doctors, a physical therapist, and a personal trainer. They had all given me their own diagnoses and remedies; exercises of various types that would at first relieve the pain, but after several weeks or a month of continuously doing the exercises, the pain would cease to improve or even regress. No one I saw appeared confident that they actually knew what my problem was so I stopped going back to them. At 23 years old, I felt that it was way too young to have a problem such as this and I increasingly tried to pretend it didn't exist and ignore the pain while doing the things that hurt me. It wasn't working very well."


"I met Lenora after responding to a sign that promised a miracle cure for my chronic pain. Initially my motivation was more curiosity than any belief that the cure would actually work. Kind of the same attitude with which you go to your little brother's magic show; you're really most interested in whether the rabbit will l make a mess in his hat. However, at the consultation, after only several minutes of questions and watching me walk back and forth, Lenora had identified the cause of my problem and was able to guess other, more minor problems that I had without me telling her. I've worked with her for about a year, learning exercises to correct my posture and making changes in lifestyle and nutrition to remove the root cause of my pain. She told me, and I believe her, that my problems were not caused per say by carrying a backpack for three months. They were caused by a lifetime of incorrect nutrition and exercise and the backpacking was only the last straw."


"You can argue all day about whether it's necessary to drink three glasses of milk per day or the relative merits of Western and Eastern medicine; however, it is difficult to argue with concrete, controlled results. Before I started working with Lenora, I had stable, continuous pain for three years. As I write today I have no back pain and I can do all the activities listed above as well as or better than before my hiking trip. Additionally, I had been plagued by visible acne ever since adolescence, which has since disappeared completely. Following Lenora's advice was the only significant change I made in my life during that period, and as such can be the only plausible explanation for my improvement. Something that she told me must have worked, and I personally believe that all of it worked. By any standard I can think of, I am as or more healthy than I was in 2005, the perceived start of my problems. However, Lenora's guidance has given me a glimpse of how healthy it is in fact possible to be and how good being healthy can make me feel. She has shown me a path which I can follow to increase my enjoyment of and the fulfillment I get from everyday life. Working with Lenora has made a major, positive change in my life that makes the injury which brought me to her a blessing in disguise."

"After retirement at age 62, my major motivations were to eliminate or reduce the medication I was taking for hypertension and high cholesterol. Physically and mentally, I was uncomfortable with the way I felt and looked. I decided to start my own routine of cardiovascular exercise and resistance training.
